I was pleasantly surprised to find that the accommodation looked every bit as beautiful as the pictures online. The owners are lovely people with fine taste. We stayed in Bokmakierie, which was beautifully decorated and very clean. The gardens are lovely and hundreds of birds flock to it every day, which is a lovely experience. The view is breath taking and it's a very quick and easy drive to Clarens if you do want to head to town. By far the most beautiful place we stayed at in Clarens and I would recommend it to anyone.

Lovely place to stay
Was pleasantly surprised on arrival, the place looks even better than it does on the photos. Really had a wonderful nights rest. People are very friendly and helpful; they even surprised us with a small gift for me and my bride to be in our room. More than happy to recommend this place to anyone. The location, the garden, the peacefulness, the view, the cleanliness, the space everything. I cannot say anything bad about it.

Einfach alles. Die Ausstattung unseres Chalets war einfach vollkommen. Es fehlte sowohl in der Küche als auch im Badezimmer und im Wohn- und Schlafbereich an nichts. Alles war perfekt sauber als ob die Unterkunft am Ankunftstag erst eröffnet hätte. Und die Aussicht von der Terrasse auf den Garten und die Landschaft war einfach traumhaft. Und auch die Vermieter waren einfach nur perfekt. Super nett und hilfsbereit....besser geht‘s nicht. Also wenn man in Clarens ist...dann immer wieder die Thaba Lapeng Lodge - ohne jeden Zweifel.

Everything. The furnishings of our chalet were just perfect. There was nothing missing in the kitchen, in the bathroom, and in the living and sleeping area. Everything was perfectly clean as if the accommodation had only opened on the day of arrival. And the view from the terrace to the garden and the landscape was just fantastic. And the landlords were just perfect. Really nice and helpful.... it could not be better. So if you are in Clarens... then again and again the Thaba Lapeng Lodge - without any doubt

Clean, close to the city but secluded and homely

It has a very peaceful atmosphere and an incredible view. It was a wonderful weekend. The view is something incredible, the location is fantasy. Gerhard and Zelda immediately make you feel welcome. It is a much better place for me to stay for a getaway than in the busy town itself. Wonderful scenery.

Lovely, will definitely visit again. The hosts are very friendly and make the stay pleasurable. They go the extra mile and put a lot of effort in the detail. The view of the mountains are breathtaking. Lovely place to unwind from the cities hassle.
